"Over 91 million working days a year are lost due to mental health"

Who we are

The directors of Open Mind are Sue Temple and Mukesh Gohil

Sue Temple and Mukesh Gohil have worked collaboratively in North London for over ten years, devising and implementing creative approaches to address worklessness and to support local economic regeneration strategies. Much of this work has centered on assistance for disadvantaged groups and businesses through the development, management and delivery of projects. These have been funded by a variety of organisations including the London Development Agency (LDA), Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Learning and Skills Council (LSC), European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and European Social Fund (ESF).

This experience has helped to develop an understanding of local business communities, employer networks, training providers and business support agencies and has provided a solid knowledge base on which to develop the support needs for disability at work.

Open Mind benefits from well developed relationships with key stakeholders in the field of mental health and disability and from linkages with the principal funding bodies. Work within specific industry sectors has enabled Sue and Mukesh to gain an understanding of the local picture in terms of skills gaps, recruitment issues, Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) initiatives and future opportunities.
