"1 million disabled people without a job in the UK want to work"

Phoenix Development Fund projects come together in Nottingham to share progress after the first quarter of activity.

17 May 2005

The 3Ps conference 'People Places Passion' was held in Nottingham over two days in May. It gave delegates from the 13 Mental health related projects across England an opportunity to meet, relax and get acquainted.

Delegates from all 6 themes supported by the Phoenix Development Fund were present (Black and Ethnic Minority; Social Enterprise; Mental Health/ Disability; Women; Offenders and Sectors) making the event an ideal opportunity to meet many providers engaged with supporting the country's most disadvantaged jobseekers.

The 2 days were filled with informative workshops and lots of opportunity to share concerns and best practice.

During a special extra session scheduled at the end of day 1, members of the PDF mental health project teams were invited to ask questions and make suggestions about the mental health business portal. Sue Temple and Mukesh Gohil of Open Mind explained the various features and tools and took comments back to the development team.
