"1 million disabled people without a job in the UK want to work"

Haringey Enfield and Waltham Forest come together to discuss a collaborative approach to providing employment related support for disabled people across the three boroughs

8 September 2006

As a member of Haringey Welfare to Work for Disabled People Forum, Open Mind arranged a meeting today to discuss collaborative approaches to disability support. The initiative, which centred on firstly identifying existing provision in the area, was warmly welcomed by all concerned as a positive way forward for the disability and employment agenda. Following introductions by the chair, Bill Slade, initial terms of reference were agreed by the group and objectives were set for future cross borough working.
