About us
Over recent years most disability related support has generally been focused towards individual beneficiaries and groups. However, it's clear that in order to see a fundamental shifting of attitudes in the workplace, employers have a crucial role to play.
Open Mind is involved a variety of activities within the small business sector working with companies to address stigma and discrimination and to improve the working environment for all.
Open Mind offers support to employers in:
- understanding disability
- addressing long held misconceptions
- recognising and addressing workplace issues through the application of practical solutions
Open Mind works with the public and voluntary sector by linking health, employment and community regeneration to improve pathways to work.
Over the past two years, we have developed working partnerships with many leading organisations involved in the disability and mental health sector and have successfully secured funding for a variety of innovative projects in North and East London.
